Everyday Nail Care
Good nail care is mostly unglamorous: reduce trauma, manage moisture exposure, trim safely and pay attention to persistent changes.
Hands
Protect nails during prolonged wet work, moisturize after washing and avoid aggressive cuticle cutting or using nails as tools.
Feet
Wear properly fitting footwear, keep feet reasonably dry, trim toenails carefully and avoid sharing nail tools.
Watch for change
Persistent discoloration, thickening, pain, swelling, drainage or separation from the nail bed deserves more than cosmetic camouflage.
